Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Wilmington. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in North Carolina are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Burney’s was honestly one of the best choices we made for our wedding. From the start, Sydney was amazing to work with. She was so responsive, organized, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. She made everything feel easy and stress free. Our wedding cake turned out even better than we imagined. The flavor was incredible, the design matched exactly what we had envisioned, and every detail was done beautifully. Sydney really took the time to understand what we wanted and brought it to life perfectly. Beyond the cake itself, Sydney and everyone at Burney’s were so kind, honest, and fair throughout the planning process, especially when it came to pricing. We truly felt taken care of, which meant so much during such a busy season. We also ordered Burney’s mini croissants, which are one of our personal favorites, and they were a huge hit with our guests. By the end of the night, everyone understood why we love them so much. Sydney’s talent, attention to detail, and genuine care made such a difference on our wedding day. We’re so grateful for everything Burney’s did and could not recommend them more highly.

Amazing little bakery! Just tried it this morning and the girl helping me had such a sweet and warm attitude that it made the experience feel nice and cozy. She also recommended the apple fritter, which was fantastic! Will definitely be back to try some more of the filled croissants

This morning I visited to purchase my dad a sweet treat and get a treat for his nurses. He had asked for a brownie and I got 2 delicious choices for him. I then decided to get a variety of doughnuts for the nurses bc them have been amazing treating him for the past week. Once everything was boxed the sweet lady gave me a sheet describing them and sent me on my way. She chose to bless my father and his team of nurses today. I can’t thank you enough for the kind gesture. We will definitely be back to try more of the Sweets and more.

Just went here this morning, bought some brownies, a lemon bar, a fritter, and a croissant Danish, and the croissant was moldy. So now I'm wondering how old it must have been to have mold. I'm assuming things are not baked fresh, so that kind of sucked. Think I'll find somewhere else that bakes fresh or at the very least maintains quality of product.

Worth every penny! 1st time visit. We ordered the glazed stuffed croissants, multiple flavors. Wow. Definitely hits the sweet spot! A dozen is roughly $21 and its worth it. In my opinion, You won't be disappointed!
